Multiple award winner, Anne-Marie Bracken has been involved in both fine and commercial art for many years. Currently, Anne-Marie works on the LCAL online Member News and the AFAF Art Lines newsletter. She has utilized several media including pen and ink drawing, watercolor, photography, and mixed media.

A past member of the League of Roanoke Artists (LRA) in Virginia, and the DuPage Art League in Illinois, and a current member of the Lake County Art League (LCAL), Anne-Marie has exhibited in several venues including:

  • The Jefferson Center (Roanoke, VA)

  • WVTF Radio Station (Roanoke, VA)

  • Brandon Oaks Nursing Home (Roanoke, VA)

  • Healing Hands Spa (Roanoke, VA)

  • Perkowitz Art Studio (Grayslake, IL)

  • Waukegan Part District Jack Benny Center for the Arts (Waukegan, IL)

  • Undercroft Gallery (Christ Episcopal Church, Waukegan, IL)

  • Art in the Shire (Shire Law Group) (virtual exhibit)

  • Robert T. Wright Gallery, College of Lake County (IL) (virtual exhibit)

  • Antioch Fine Arts Foundation (AFAF), The Gallery (Antioch, IL)

2010 - present

While with the LRA, she provided editorial and graphic design for their newsletter for several years.

During her tenure at Virginia Tech, Anne-Marie co-curated art exhibits for the College of Engineering, as well as the Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM), and Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics (BEAM) departments. Besides exhibiting, she inspired engineering students to participate with selected examples of their projects shown as artwork.

Anne-Marie also served as editor and graphic artists for ESM's newsletter, Happenings, and provided program graphics and marketing for the department's conference in 2009.

​

Regarding art education, Anne-Marie attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and majored in textile design. She also attended several classes in watercolor, Photoshop, and marketing graphic design.

​

Anne-Marie served as a volunteer in Utah's Bountiful School District and taught art appreciation to 4th/5th graders.
